A gold-tin heavy gold electroplating process features a plating bath with good throwing power, producing a bright coating with low porosity, excellent solderability, and good electrical conductivity. The coating has a gold-to-tin ratio of 8:2 and a hardness of 70–85 HV.

It is suitable for electroplating decorative and electronic components, as well as for use in the electronics, electrical, and semiconductor industries.
